About us

Promoción de Escuelas was created in 1965, as a result of the entrepreneurial spirit of a group of Catalan families residents in Terrassa, led by Mr. Agustí Abad.  They sought to offer their children an innovative education and training fostered in values, in a culture that promoted experimentation and effort, as well as endowed with the best human, technical and technological resources, with quality school facilities and leaders in education.

That same year, Promoción de Escuelas founded the Montcau – La Mola school, in Matadepera, as a Catalan, secular, mixed school, rooted in the Vallés Occidental, grounded on all these principles and with an area of more than 20,000 m2 in the middle of nature.

In all its years of history, Promoción de Escuelas became established to offer a school project that ranges from 0 to 18 years, encompassing the Els Pinetons Nursery and the Montcau – La Mola School.

Els Pinetons and Montcau – La Mola schools have distinguished themselves by providing leading and quality teaching, applying the most advanced pedagogical interventions and maintaining as one of its central pillars the personalized attention of students and families, in accordance with its rigour and good treatment, as well as in the acknowledgment and recognition of good performance and personal effort.

When the educational project began in 1965, they had the courage to propose a comprehensive, mixed, secular education, connected to the environment and open to the region.  Today it evolves by opening up to Europe, promoting research work and the use of technological resources and, above all, offering students a curriculum from which they dominate instrumental learning, different forms of expression and knowledge of languages. Elements that will facilitate our students’ insertion in Europe, the framework from where they will have to develop in the near future.

We have a large and stable team of professionals with a high teaching and human level, who work together in a coordinated and directed manner, while they are continuously and constantly involved in professional development and advancement.  Professionals capable of serving all the individualities within the educational community and maintaining the standards of quality Schools.
